In Safe Hands - releasing the potential of clinical teams

Engaging Patients

SIBR™ provides a structure and process to actively engage the patient in their own care and recovery. The patient is considered a member of the healthcare team and is engaged and encouraged to be an active participant. They have the opportunity to provide information and feedback to the team, as well as ask questions related to their care.

Information for Patients and Families

The SIBR™ Patient Information Brochure provides an overview for patients and their family/carers about SIBR™ and highlights the key benefits of the model in relation to their care. The brochure is also available in a number of languages. In addition, a poster is available for units that have implemented SIBR™ to raise awareness of the round for patients and carers.

Posters

These posters can be displayed in a SIBR™ ward and other patient areas to inform family and carers about the round itself and when it occurs. Each poster can be customised for the specific unit and the times chosen to conduct SIBR™.
