A driver diagram organises information on proposed activities so the relationships between the aim of the improvement project and the changes to be tested and implemented are made clear.

The aim of Driver Diagram Train the Trainer workshop is to upskill NSW Health staff so that they are able to co-present with CEC facilitators at the Foundation Clinical Leadership Program (FCLP) two-day Driver Diagram workshops, and be able to independently run their own one-day Driver Diagram workshop in their LHD/SHN.

Important: This workshop is not targeted at staff wanting to learn how to do a driver diagram. Workshop participants need to be very familiar with Driver Diagrams and quality improvement methodology.

At the end of the workshop, participants will:

  • Be able to organise a one-day Driver Diagram Workshop
  • Discuss the intent behind the Power Point slides and express confidence with the content (content knowledge)
  • Competently and confidently present the material in the Driver Diagrams Power Point Slides (presentation skills)
  • Be invited to form part of the teaching faculty at the CEC Quality Improvement Academy. Annual reviews will be established to ensure teaching skill levels are maintained.

This workshop contains prior learning requirements and there are expectations on participants following the workshop.  Please read the course outline prior to registering.
